Susannah’s love of growing successful businesses began at Monsal Limited, which was started by her father and two business partners in 1996. Joining the business on Day 1, Susannah got involved in everything – accounts, employee contracts, marketing, IT, commercial contracts and business processes and developed her skills from there, later becoming Finance Director.
11 years later, Monsal had become the UK’s leading advanced digestion and biogas to energy business, with a turnover of over £10m, accredited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. In 2007 we achieved a successful Management Buy Out, accessing funding for expansion into the waste to energy market. Just 2 months later, we were accredited in Investors In People – a project led by Susannah. In 2014 Monsal Limited was acquired by GE.
Susannah started work as a Business Growth Coach in 2008, whilst retaining a part-time role as Commercial and HR Director at Monsal Limited, working with the SMEs in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire as well as the John Lewis Partnership. In 2010, Susannah moved to Dorset and became a full-time Business Growth Coach and has subsequently helped many businesses to achieve their business and people goals.
The systems Susannah put in place are still the cornerstone of the finance function and provide the leadership team and investors with good visibility.
